These are soooo not spy shots. Yes, they show a camouflaged thing, a thing that has not been officially revealed, (and, frankly, a thing we still can’t quite believe is happening in the first place), but no, they’re not spy shots. The vehicle in said photos is Land Rover’s upcoming Range Rover Evoque convertible, of course, and these snaps were provided by Land Rover, which makes them teaser images and hence a little less savory, but they give us a good look at the thing in action nonetheless.

Land Rover’s prototype smartphone app turns this Range Rover Sport into a remote-control off-roader. ‘Over very difficult terrain, it’s often necessary to have a spotter outside the car guiding you,’ explains engineer Mark Cund. ‘But when you’re alone, or your passenger isn’t an off-road expert, you might need to stop every few feet, climb out, and take a look.’
