The Porsche 911 started as the German company’s second ever attempt at a road car, and has since become an iconic amongst Porsche models over its 50 years. If there’s any complaint that could be made about the sports car is the design hasn’t changed drastically in over half a decade.


Recent IAAD graduate Khashayar Jenabi felt the same way about the stagnant 911’s designs, so he conceptualized his take on the fabled speed machine.

Dubbed the ‘911 Solo’, this could be the most extreme expression to date of what a 911 could be. It features a centrally-mounted single seater cockpit (hence the ‘Solo’ part of the concept’s name), and aerodynamic flaps on the rear fenders that pop out under braking, which increases stability.

The 911 Solo is such a radical design that the design was chosen by Porsche to be brought to life as a scale model. Unfortunately, that’s the closest to a real 911 Solo we can get…for now.
